Home Haunter's Association is now one of our Primary places to Advertise this Wonderful Home Yard Haunt!
I am making some at least tentative plans to be able to get this into a full - scale Haunted House and Yard Haunt, not just a Trick or Treat Trail.
This will be the 3rd Annual Haunted Hacienda Yard Haunt, Treat Trail and Refreshment Tent.
Last year didn't do so well, but we will carry on and Prevail as the No. NM area's Best and Largest Haunted Attraction.

We got 22 ToT'ers, with more coming into the Weekend!
We are extending our Run into the Weekend and doing this for those that didn't come tonight.
We also now have a Crew of 10 persons, Keith, Leia, myself, Hubby Dan, Cousins Chris and Coleen, Joe, Rochele and twso other young ladies.
We plan to pull off a Monster Yard Haunt and Haunted House in 2009.
I am putting the Plans together now, for next year.

The other 3 Inflatables arrived today, we have them up, the Party Tent is up and Decorated, The Finishing Touches on Everything goes up late tonight tomorrow a.m.
I have Homemade Cupcakes, Homemade, Frosted Cookies, Hostess Products for the chance at $1,000,000.00 and my own Homemade Party Punch.
The rest of my Crew is Not showing up, but the Neighbor's Grandkids did become my "Crew."
We got a lot done, in very little time and I am pleased with how things turned...

Instead of Outdoors work, I put together Creepy, Spooky - Looking Signage, so others don't get Lost or Misdirected.
I also put together the Animatronic Witch's Broom that goes on the Patio.
Hoping that Hubby will be home in time to help me get this stuff finished before the week is out.

I am Inviting my own Community and their Families to my Annual Yard Haunt and Trick or Treat Event.
Yes, I host this at home every year.
I know there are those watching this, laughing at my efforts, but it has been a lot of work and an unexpected economic downturn, at the last minute, that seems to have righted itself.
This may not be the greatest of Yard Haunts, but at least we are Trying, putting our whole selves into this.

The Inflatables have Shipped

The Inflatables I ordered for this year's Haunt, are Shipped Out, due to Arrive by Thursday.
I am Pleased and Thankful that my already Fragile Budget has Not been broken, although strained.
Am looking forward to 2009 and a Fresh Decorative Start, with More Props.

The Neighborhood here is Begging us to do the Yard Haunt again and we have had a Crew of Neighbor Kids here and us; we got A Lot done in a Very short amount of time and it is coming together quite Nicely!
The Grave Evaders make the Graves look Intensely more Spooky.
Tomorrow, one of the Neighbor Children is coming to help me again, with putting together the Patio area and to finish up the yard.
I ordered 3 more Inflatables today as well, without breaking my Budget.

Since all that is left, is to Purchase the Inflatables for this year, of which I am waiting to hear back from the Inflatables Company, then, once the Bills and Rent are paid, Groceries for the month are Purchased, Laundry is washed, Baked Goods are made and the Yard is Decorated up with what we have now, then we will be able to put this Haunt on the Full measure, although I am worried that the money won't arrive in time for us to do more than Candy, this time.
The Weather is another...

There are many things and Costs to be considered before a Professional Haunt can happen, but we will have run out of space on our current location by 2009.
All things to look at and consider, are Parking, Security, Crowd Control, Permits, Sponsorships and Endorsements (if any), Purchase or Rental of an Alternate Location, Admissions, Concessions, Actors and Actresses, splitting into 2 sections, Adult and Children.
So it is a lot to think about and deal with, but I am certain that if...

Updates for 2009

We will be doing Billy's Grave for 2009, as we can only afford to do the Inflatables this year.
Everything else goes off for this year, as planned originally, with the exception of the Grave Scene.
I wish we could do more, but a bad economy prevents us from doing so.
2009 will bring more Yard Haunt and less hassle.
Perhaps 2010 will see this Yard Haunt going Professional, with the amounts of money being spent on this year's and 2009's Haunts.

We found Deep - Pocket Discounts on our Inflatables and other items and now are able to get this whole thing going for the cost that we WANT to get it for!

Cutting Back on Halloween 2008

Due to Worsening Weather Conditions in our area and Threat of an Early Winter, we are cutting back on Decorations this year, although we WILL attempt to go slightly Larger.
We will Not be doing our Tent, as we had Hoped, it will be just too cold to do this, there will also Not be more Inflatables, as had been hoped.
Winter Weather means Not doing more things, but cutting back on a lot.

Haunted Hacienda to Run for 3 Days!

Due to the fact that Halloween falls on a Friday, I am thinking it will be a good idea to run it for all three days, during the Weekend, to accomodate those that could Not make it on Friday Night.
This will allow us to run out of Toys, Treats, Goodies, Food, Candy and all the rest.
This way, we can start fresh for 2009.
